I love animals. Those who love animals know I need say no more. It’s a big part of why Ema and I are vegetarians. But like most people, we are not perfect and we could do more. But we do the best we can - and we’re proud of at least that.

Scientists often say animals have no soul, and no intelligence other than trained mimicry and eons of instinctive survival tactics.

When I photograph animals, sometimes I think they’re saying the same thing about us. “Hello, people! Get a clue!?!... “
